Director Jobs description

An energy director is responsible for developing and managing energy initiatives and ventures for the organization; assessing, designing and implementing an overall energy conservation improvement program; working in a team environment to develop site-specific plans for quantification and implementation of overall energy reduction targets; evaluating and conveying benefits of all potential energy projects; crafting business deals with equipment vendors and service providers; developing, promoting and implementing best practices; providing vision and strategic leadership to the organization; ensuring that the organizational resources are best utilized and the operations are in compliance with various regulations. An energy director typically reports to the vice president.
An energy director should have a master's degree in an energy related field. Excellent academic credentials are required. Several years of experience in energy conservation and management are essential for an energy director position. Strong ability to lead and motivate others is required for an energy director role.
