This is a highly visible role that will be part of the Gas Power CISO organization.
Accountable for understanding and assessing Cyber risk, owns communication to Executive Leadership Team and working across business functions to support. This position requires a unique combination of Cybersecurity Subject Matter Expertise, business acumen, communications, executive presence, leadership, and business strategy.
In addition, the successful candidate will manage the transition of Cybersecurity services and capabilities associated with the BD effort. Specific focus is needed to ensure proper Intellectual Property (IP) protection strategies and implementations occur to safeguard the competitive advantage of GE Gas Power.
The successful candidate will also have a major role to ensure the successful transformation in Cybersecurity and Cyber-regulatory compliance associated with the establishment of the independent Energy Company and its associated Profit and Loss (P&L) Centers.
Job Description
In this role, you will:
Lead the GE Gas Power Business Development and JV Cybersecurity pipeline including transformational activities.
Create processes and communication plans to ensure the proper Cybersecurity and Cyber-regulatory posture of all JV’s, Acquisitions, as well as the appropriate disposition of Divestitures.
Serve as the SME for the GE Gas Power Joint Venture Cybersecurity Governance program, inclusive of architectural oversight and guidance, IT Security assessments and audit, service agreements and relationship management.
Ensure appropriate governance and data protection requirements instituted throughout GE Gas Power acquisitions, divestitures and Joint Ventures.
Oversee licensing agreements related to entitlements impacting GE Gas Power Intellectual Property (IP) for Business Development (BD) and Joint Ventures.
Define an ongoing monitoring plan that includes risk assessment and periodic scorecard for lifecycle health.
Maintain a high-level of industry, regulatory and best practices when it comes to third-party risk management and supply chain security risk and assessment techniques.
Establish and maintain relationships with stakeholders including regional CIOs, global IT Security and Compliance leaders.
Define an ongoing monitoring plan that includes due diligence reassessment cadence, up-front risk assessment refresh, periodic scorecard and potential continuous monitoring tools to be utilized within the process.
Develop a governance model for program execution, reporting and escalation of issues. Model should define issue remediation process along with types of data to be collected and process to escalate by severity.
Own all GE Gas Power Cybersecurity and Risk TSA/ISA for divestitures and JVs.
Work with Legal, Compliance, HR and Security Operations to drive secure solutions to manage risk surrounding MA&D and Joint Ventures.
Drive compliance and alignment to established policies and standards that manage risk in the domains.
Provide initial reporting and metric examples for board, program and business unit level that include key risk and key performance indicators to be used to evaluate risk and performance of suppliers.
Advise JV partnerships on secure solutions that protect GE data and IP.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
Minimum of 10 years of professional experience.
Desired Characteristics
Leadership program graduate and/or Audit Staff experience.
Understanding of cyber-regulator and security control frameworks.
Facilitation, negotiation, influencing and process management skills.
CISSP/CISM/CISA certification.
Strong oral and written communication skills – able to communicate appropriately to technical and management audiences.
Experience in large global environments spanning multiple time zones.
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
Comfortable and effective working in new areas that require rapid problem solving and continuous learning.
