Winston & Strawn is looking for a junior to mid-level associate to join the energy regulatory and finance practice in either the Washington, D.C. or New York office. The ideal candidate will have experience with Federal Energy Regulatory Commission electric regulatory issues and an interest in continuing to develop that practice. The ideal candidate will also have a willingness to learn energy, commodity, and derivative transactions, including commercial arrangements such as power purchase agreements and standard trading documentation, such as the ISDA Master Agreement, the EEI Master Power Purchase and Sale Agreement, or the NAESB Base Contract for Sale and Purchase of Natural Gas. In addition to having strong academic credentials and excellent written and oral communication skills, the candidate should have strong research and analytical skills and be detail oriented. All candidates must be admitted in their preferred office location.
